Strong duo: Panattoni welcomes new tenants at the City Dock Hamburg Norderstedt

New energy before the gates of Hamburg: With the City Dock Hamburg Norderstedt, Panattoni is offering around 13,000 m² of small commercial spaces for small and medium-sized enterprises, start-ups and established branch offices. Starting immediately, the two new tenants, Gate Gourmet GmbH Deutschland and EURA Drives GmbH will benefit from the modern, sustainably developed working environment, located within the city.

The City Dock Hamburg Norderstedt as one of 15 City Docks in Germany had the privilege of welcoming two new tenants in October and November. One of them is EURA Drives GmbH. The automation company will use 1,800 m² as a new head office for the storage, management, sale and distribution of frequency converters and drive solutions for industrial applications.

In the future, the second tenant, Gate Gourmet GmbH Deutschland, a leading provider of catering solutions for the aeronautics industry, will organise the efficient loading of airplanes with high-quality meals on a 1,460 m² lot. “At our new site, we will be picking and packing, in particular, the beverages and dry goods loading for our customers, Emirates Airlines, Eurowings, Condor, Marabu and other airlines,” says Max von Löwis of Menar, General Manager Region Nord at Gate Gourmet. “The infrastructure of the building and the location are particularly suitable for covering our additional need for capacity which we are currently only able to meet to a limited extent at our central kitchen. With this expansion, we are taking into account the airline market in Hamburg which continues to grow dynamically.”

A hub of sustainable growth

The City Dock Hamburg Norderstedt is characterised by its convenient location and the excellent connection to the A7 and public transit. The proximity to the Hamburg city centre, the airport and the motorways allows for short travel distances and quick reachability of important financial centres. On a total of 13,085 m² of usable space, the business park offers up to eight flexible, multi-functional commercial units, starting from 1,000 m² of rental space, in two buildings. The buildings were constructed in accordance with the gold standard set forth by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen [German Association for Sustainable Construction] (DGNB) and meet, among other things, the highest ecological standards due to energy-efficient technologies and sustainable materials. These include, for instance, a photo voltaics system on the roofs, energy-efficient LED lighting and heating using VRF technology and an installed air-to-water heat pump.
