Another Panattoni Park is being built between Cologne and Bonn

In Bornheim, North Rhine-Westphalia, Panattoni will be realising a new project without previously arranged tenants. The new Panattoni Park Bonn Nord will be built in accordance with the highest sustainability standards and is excellently connected to the cities of Cologne and Bonn and the Rhine region via the A555.

Panattoni, as a leading developer of industrial and logistics properties, will erect the new project on a surface area of around 42,700 m² in the new Bornheim-Hersel industrial district. The grounds of a former gravel quarry were filled in and will now be repurposed. The property is located in the immediate vicinity of the “Bornheim” motorway on-ramp on the A555 which is directly connected to the A4 and A565. Bonn and Cologne city centres can be reached in 30 and 40 minutes, respectively.

With the industrial and logistics property, Panattoni is developing sustainable lots for a broad mix of users. After completion, approx. 26,000 m² of total rental space, with 1,800 m² of office and social space and 1,900 m² of mezzanine space will be available and divided into four units. They can be flexibly divided and each offer surface areas between 3,000 and 6,000 m² They are therefore suitable for a variety of different uses.

As part of the development, Panattoni intends to obtain certification in accordance with the DGBN gold standard and is implementing comprehensive sustainability measures. This includes installing a photovoltaics system on the roof and collecting rainwater for further use. The roofs of the bicycle and smokers’ shelters will also be covered in greenery. Last, but not least, the developer is focusing particularly on the design of the outdoor premises by, for instance, planting indigenous plants and creating attractive recreational areas for employees.

The construction will start in the fourth quarter of 2023. Panattoni plans to complete the work in the third quarter of 2024.
