Roofing ceremony in Immendingen: Panattoni and SF Filter celebrate construction progress

In cooperation with the client, SF-Filter, representatives of the City of Immendingen and other parties involved in the project, the project developer celebrated the roofing ceremony on the 32,000 m² property in the Donau-Hegau II business park.

The modern logistics building will act as a new wholesale centre for SF-Filter AG, a leading company in Europe that sells mobile and industrial filters. It is being built in a convenient location on the A81 federal motorway in the immediate vicinity of the existing German site in Villingen-Schwenningen and is therefore easily reached by SF-Filter’s employees. With a total surface area of 17,000 m² the build-to-suit property offers abundant space. Of that, 15,000 m² will be allocated to hall space and 1,000 m² to office and mezzanine storage space.

The rapid completion of the property is not least owed to the excellent cooperation with the Municipality of Immendingen, which is looking forward to the future tenant moving in. “The fact that such an established company like SF-Filter has chosen our municipality is proof of Immendingen’s attractiveness as an economic centre,” says Manuel Stärk, Mayor of Immendingen. “What is particularly nice is that the property takes environmental protection into account which is in line with our municipality’s goals.”

In terms of a sustainable and environmentally-friendly design, the aim is to obtain certification according the criteria of the DGNB gold standard. In addition to the planned installation of photovoltaics systems, extensive greenery on the roofs is also planned. Insect-friendly exterior lighting, around 6,500 m² of green areas with wildflower meadows and fruit orchards as well as insect hotels contribute towards the protection of species diversity. The new wholesale centre will be heated by an air-to-water heat pump. In addition, ceiling ventilation to cool the offices and intelligent energy consumption control using smart metering are also planned.

Our new home is taking shape.”

The completion of the building is planned for the end of 2024 and the wholesale centre is slated to be put into operation at the beginning of 2025.
