The manufacturer of threaded compression springs, pneumatic springs and punched/bent parts, Lesjöfors, has let spaces at the Panattoni Park Hagen, which is currently under construction. Lesjöfors is a  subsidiary of the global Beijer Components Group. With its relocation  the production sector is returning to the revitalised industrial site. Panattoni, will build a modern site for trade, production and logistics by November 2026.

By leasing 8,250 m² of logistics and industrial space, as well as 530 m² of office and social space and 510 m² of mezzanine storage space, Lesjöfors is relocate a portion of its logistics to the new Panattoni Park Hagen. The company has been based in Hagen for around 30 years.

Lesjöfors is part of Beijer Components, a global group of specialist manufacturers of industrial components. Lesjöfors is an established and key brand within Beijer Components for wire and strip springs, stamped and bent parts, and gas springs for various industries. The company, whose production dates back to 1852, is a subsidiary of Beijer Alma AB, an internationally listed industrial group comprising almost 70 companies specialising in industrial components, technical solutions and niche products. Beijer Alma is the parent company of Beijer Tech and Beijer Components and is listed in the Large Cap segment of NASDAQ Stockholm.

Historical site with new perspectives

The site of a former stone factory in Lennetal, on the border to Sauerland, was used for the production of dolomite rock cladding for industrial furnaces, coke and steel furnaces for 100 years. After demolition and comprehensive decontamination, modern industrial spaces are being created here. The Panattoni Park Hagen will offer a total of 30,400 m² of space to let for logistics, production and trade.

Dr. Christopher Schmitt, Managing Director at Hagen Wirtschaftsentwicklung GmbH, highlights, “Strengthening the local economy by reactivating wastelands and improving infrastructure is our core concern. A central objective is to support the production industry. We are particularly pleased when all of these factors come together at a historical industrial site.”

Thomas Kirchhoff, Managing Director Lesjöfors Springs GmbH, explains, “Lesjöfors has been active in Germany for several decades and has been established in Hagen since 1997. Our association with the city is based on mutual respect. That is why we are proud to be starting this new chapter of our company’s history in Germany at a production site that is historically important to Hagen.”

Dennis Rehbein, Mayor of Hagen, adds: “With Lesjöfors relocating here, Hagen has once again proven to be an attractive site for modern industry. The company is a great win for Panattoni Park Hagen and sets a positive example for other potential businesses.”

Attractive site conditions

Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner at Panattoni DACH & Nordics, explains, “We are pleased to welcome Lesjöfors to our new logistics and industrial site in Hagen. The traditional mixture of production, trade and transport in Sauerland and in the Ruhr region will be combined with state-of-the-art infrastructure at the Panattoni Park Hagen. We are convinced that Lesjöfors will find the best conditions here.”

The Panattoni Park Hagen is located close to the A45 and A46 federal motorways and is only a few kilometres from Dortmund.

After successfully concluding the lease with Lesjöfors, another three units with rental spaces starting at 8,180 m² are available to let. The halls have a clearance height of 12.20 m, a support grid of 24 × 12 m and floor load-bearing capacity of 7 t/m², which also allows for demanding logistics processes. The floors in the halls are equipped with foil that allows for the handling of materials from water hazard class 3 (WGK 3).

CBRE was involved as a consultant and broker.

Realogis and BNP Paribas Real Estate are acting as co-leads on the marketing of the remaining available spaces.
