First tenant at the Panattoni Park Ennshafen: Rosenbauer International Plant Logistics Site

Only one month after the ceremonial groundbreaking, Panattoni has announced the first tenant for its second property project in Austria: Rosenbauer International AG, one of the largest manufacturers of fire brigade vehicles in the world and incorporated in Leonding, will fill the Panattoni Park Ennshafen with life after it is completed. Europe’s biggest property developer has been building the new commercial, industrial and logistics park on a property measuring around 65,000 m² in the industrial district in Ennshafen near Linz.

In the future, the Austrian fire brigade vehicle manufacturer will use the approximately 9,800 m² of warehouse and technical space, 840 m² of office space and 770 m² of mezzanine space as a logistics site for the storage of vehicle parts for fire and catastrophe prevention and fire-fighting technology. “The Panattoni Park Ennshafen is excellently suited as an additional site for our company,” says Wolfgang Andreas Schettler, Head of Central Technics at Rosenbauer International. “The hall space offers adequate space for our products which we can easily transport into our distribution regions due to the ideal connections to transport routes. The proximity to our main headquarters in Leonding is part of what makes this site attractive to us.”

In addition to the trimodal connection, the Panattoni Park Ennshafen stands out due to the strategically favourable proximity to the major automotive corporations. It also scores points due to its high degree of third-party usability and comprehensive sustainability measures which will be taken into account when constructing the logistics property. The developer is aiming to obtain certification according to the DGNB gold standard with, among other things, a district heating connection and a photovoltaics system on the roof.

“To have found the first tenants so shortly after the start of construction is a major success and confirms our faith in the region’s potential,” says Jürgen Winklbauer, Managing Director at Panattoni Austria. “The high interest demonstrates the attractiveness of Enns as a site. The municipality also benefits from it because Rosenbauer International establishing itself here will also strengthen the region economically.” Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner at Panattoni Germany and Austria, adds, “The Panattoni Park Ennshafen is an important milestone for us with regard to continuing our successful growth course in Austria. Acquiring the first tenant shows that we are on the right track with the selection of the sites.”

The property consultant EUREA Real Estate GmbH handled the marketing of the spaces. The completion of the Panattoni Park Ennshafen is slated for the end of the 1st quarter of 2025.
