Panattoni Europe & Dachser are set to jointly develop a 16,000-square-metre logistics facility. It will be built in Öhringen, Baden-Württemberg, in the direct vicinity of Dachser's existing logistics centre. Panattoni Europe, the full-service developer of logistics properties, will invest an eight-digit number in the project.
Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner Panattoni Europe, explains: " The global logistics operator Dachser is committed to delivering excellent quality, so it gives us extra satisfaction that together with our team we can meet Dachser's expectations as a partner." Like all facilities developed by Panattoni Europe, the new logistics centre will be certified. It comprises 16,000 square metres of warehouse space and some 800 square metres of office space. For Dachser, this project constitutes an extension of its long-standing engagement in Öhringen. The selection process of the investor was overseen by Nikolai Windhäuser, Stuttgart branch manager of the real estate advisory firm Logivest.
For Panattoni Europe, the logistics facility for Dachser is the third project to be implemented in the first quarter of this year, marking another milestone in the company's development. " We will be developing further investments like Öhringen in logistics-intensive locations, even if we have not secured a lease in advance", explains Sönke Kewitz, likewise Managing Partner at Panattoni Europe. The construction works have already begun at Öhringen with completion planned in the autumn 2015.
