Panattoni Netherlands starts development of Moerdijk distribution center
Panattoni Netherlands, part of Panattoni Europe, is starting with the development of an ultra-modern logistics distributioncenter in Moerdijk, the Netherlands.
The new development of 20,791 sqm’s consists of a hall of 18,490 sqm’s, 554 sqm’s office and 1,747 sqm’s mezzanine, 18 loading docks and 1 overhead door will be realized with 165 on-site parking spaces. The distributioncenter is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2022 and it is available for lease.
Distributioncenter Moerdijk will be located on the Vlasweg and the Eastern ring road in the port area of Moerdijk, 2 kilometers from the container terminal. The port of Moerdijk and the CCT terminal offer different modalities via shortsea, inland shipping and train transport. The location is ideal with the connections to the A17 highway which is just 2 kilometers away.
Jeroen Gerritsen, General Manager Panattoni Netherlands: “We are very happy with the growth that we are achieving in such a short time. This is our third project in the Netherlands, 12 months after Panattoni came to the Netherlands and there is still more to come. This development, once again, shows that we can handle complex brownfield developments and thus give locations a new life. The ultimate form of sustainability.
The port of Moerdijk is an important logistic hub due to its strategic location between Rotterdam and Antwerp and the multimodal network that converges here. We have now been able to find a location in that hub network and thus we have been able to further expand our porfolio.
The distributioncenter is extremely suitable for companies that would like a representative modern facility in the port of Moerdijk. The technical parameters make it suitable for both classic shelving- and bulk storage. In addition, built to suit is always possible. ”
