Uponor chose Panattoni - 16,800 sqm of new space near Hassfurt

Panattoni Europe, a leading European developer in the industrial property market, announces a new contract with Uponor, a producer of plumbing and indoor climate systems. The client will lease 16,800 sqm in a newly developed, customized building. The contract was mediated by JLL.

The dedicated project for Uponor will be delivered on a 5.55 ha greenfield plot, consisting of 15,512 sqm of warehouse space and 1,234 sqm of office and mezzanine space. The site is located in Hassfurt, Germany next to Uponor's existing facilities and headquarters, in vicinity of the motorway A70 in northern Bavaria. There is the possibility of up to 5,000 sqm of future warehouse expansion. The investment volume is around eleven million euros.

With over 60 years of experience in the development and production of plastic pipes, components and systems for residential and commercial building markets, Uponor managed to become a leader in providing technologically advanced plumbing and indoor climate systems.

Panattoni Europe has developed in total over 160,000 sqm of space in Germany in such locations as Bremen, Bodenheim, Lorsch, Alzenau and Schwäbisch Gmünd for such clients as Geodis, Lakner Spedition, Lear, trans-o-flex and Rudolph Logistik. At the moment Panattoni is developing a logistics 30,000-square-meter facility for BLG in Bremen.

Panattoni Europe is currently developing more than 400,000 sqm in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic, including two facilities for Amazon totalling altogether over 200,000 sqm of space. Since 2005, that is from the onset of Panattoni's presence in Europe, the developer has built more than 2.5 million sqm of modern industrial space.
