Successful summer: Panattoni Europe in Germany hands over four logistics facilities

Panattoni Europe, a developer of and investor into logistics properties, completed several projects in Germany in July and August on schedule. All projects, encompassing approx. 90,000 sqm of developed logistics area at sought-after commercial locations, were handed over to the tenants in due time.

One of Panattoni Europe’s largest development projects currently is proceeding swiftly with the hand-over of the second construction phase to Jago AG. After the hand-over of the first construction phase in March, the hand-over of the second area covering 40,000 sqm followed four months later. The logistics facility with a total size of 120,000 sqm is currently being built in four phases on a 200,000 sqm-site in the inter-municipal industrial park Rurtal Hückelhoven. The project is scheduled to be completed by August 2017. The international mail-order company will then have available a logistics centre providing both effective handling of e-commerce logistics and maximum flexibility for potential changes in logistics processes.

“E-commerce logistics is subject to strong growth as we register high demand. The industry is currently preparing for increasing customer requirements and thus invests into an optimized supply chain“, says Bohne. In that context, Panattoni has developed an additional facility providing ideal conditions for e-commerce logistics. Bergfreunde, a mail-order company and specialist for mountaineering, took over the completed logistics property with a total area of 13,000 sq m. The property is located south of Stuttgart in the commercial area Ergenzingen near Rottenburg. It offers sufficient space for the entire range of products including more than 120,000 articles as well as huge potential for the future growth of the company. Panattoni Europe handed over an additional 12,000 sq m of logistics space to Amica International, a company specialized on the sale of electrical household appliances, this summer. With the new logistics centre near Hanover, Amica drives forward the development of Haase Haushaltsgerätelogistik and thus strengthens its own logistics chain.

After a construction time of four months since the cornerstone ceremony, the Bremen-based logistics company F.W. Neukirch took over its new logistics centre with a total hall area of more than 21,000 sqm in July. Panattoni Europe has developed the logistics facility in Oyten near Bremen, where F.W. Neukirch will extend its range of services and pave the way for the extension of the logistics business with its long-time customer Tepro Garten. Taking into consideration multi-faceted logistics requirements, Panattoni Europe has developed a multi-user warehouse comprising capacities for 40,000 pallet bays and 4,000 sqm of special warehouse and order picking areas.

At the same time, Panattoni Europe in Germany is operating at full stretch to complete further projects in the pipeline. Six developments are currently under construction, thus further hand-overs of facilities and sections will follow suit in the short term.
