Panattoni Europe, one of the leading industrial developers in Europe, announced the employment of country manager for Germany. As of August 2014 Sonke Kewitz has become the Managing Partner for Panattoni Europe. He will be responsible for implementing the company's growth strategy for the German market.
Following its previous announcement concerning the deployment of over €200 M into the German logistics platform, the developer is going a step further and hiring a renowned expert in the field of commercial real estate. His goal will be to relaunch Panattoni's entrance on the market, drive the company to the right quality level as well as set up an asset management team. In order to execute this plan additional hires and capital allocations will be made.
Sonke Kewitz as Head of the German Panattoni Europe team will lead the business development of the company's property platform as well as oversee investment and operational activities. Sonke has over twelve years of commercial real estate experience. Previously, since 2011, he served as Managing Director of Ixocon Gmbh. He has also held numerous director positions during his career at Garbe Logistic AG in the field of acquisitions and business development. Sonke has expertise in the area of investment, project development and finance for commercial property. He graduated from the International Real Estate Business School in Regensburg.

Panattoni developed already 6 projects in Germany, mainly build-to-suit facilities, totalling altogether 140,000 sqm of warehouse space. Currently a distribution centre is under development for BLG in Bremen. Construction works are also about to be kicked off on two new projects near Hamburg and Frankfurt.
