Panattoni Europe develops a logistics property on approx. 13,000 sq m and invests about 9 million euros. Completion and first-time operation are scheduled for the second quarter of 2017.
The property developer Panattoni Europe, based in Hamburg, invests approx. 9 million euros into a commercial and logistics property in the Business Park Alsdorf, Konrad-Zuse-Strasse 37. On 7 February 2017, all parties involved celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the new building including 10,500 sq m of warehouse areas, 1,300 sq m of office and social areas as well as 600 sq m of mezzanine areas.
On the occasion of the topping-out ceremony, Alfred Sonders, mayor of Alsdorf, said: “The Business Park Alsdorf provides companies with numerous benefits, is fully developed according to planning law and offers excellent transport connections. Within a radius of 200km, the European Union‘s most important economic centres with a total population of approx. 28 million can be reached. We are delighted to have convinced Panattoni and Quip AG by means of these benefits and our active economic policy.“
Quip AG is headquartered in Baesweiler and has designed and constructed the facility subject to their individual requirements. Based on their long-term lease, Quip will offer assembling and logistics services in the area of electronic manufacturing at the new location. Manfred Bauens, board member of Quip AG, said: “As a service provider for the industry and craft sectors, we often rely on quick and flexible solutions for the required commercial and logistics facilities. In the Business Park Alsdorf and with our partner Panattoni we feel in good hands and best cared for.”
Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner of Panattoni Europe, one of Germany’s leading developers of logistics properties, pointed out: ”Our thanks particularly go to the City of Alsdorf and the business development of the Business Park Alsdorf for their warm welcome and their professional support. This project is a very good example of how cooperation between municipalities and businesses is supposed to work for the benefit of all in Germany as an industry location.”
Construction works started in November 2016. Completion and first-time operation are scheduled for the second quarter of 2017. Goldbeck International acts as general contractor. The Cologne branch of the Munich-based consulting company Logivest GmbH advised on the deal.
