Panattoni is the largest real estate developer according to bulwiengesa

Shortly before the start of one of the most important real estate expos in Europe, one thing is clear: Panattoni has defended its top position among the top developers of logistics properties in Germany for the third time. In the “Logistics and Real Estate” study from the analytics firm bulwiengesa for the year 2024, the project developer is once again in first place. The company will demonstrate that Panattoni does not rest on its laurels, but instead also has big plans for the future from 7 to 9 October in Hall A3 at Stand 310 at the EXPO REAL in Munich.

For the “Logistics and Real Estate” study, the analysis company, bulwiengesa, analysed the national market in the period from 2019 and 2024. Panattoni leads the ranking with more than 1.98 million square metres of completed and projected logistics spaces. The company, with its registered office in Hamburg, is thus markedly ahead of the competition; second place was below 1.8 million square metres of space. For 2024, Germany’s largest project developer forecasts the completion of more than 326,000 m² of usable space for the logistics, industrial and commercial markets. 17 projects are currently in progress throughout Germany. The basic framework of the future has already been erected: For the next three years, Panattoni already has projects with a total of 1.5 million square metres in the pipeline. Panattoni isn’t standing idly by outside the construction site either. For instance, the project developer found a follow-up tenant, Clic Trade, for a former build-to-suit development in Düren with a usable space of more than 16,000 square metres.

Panattoni will present its internationally implemented, high-quality and sustainably constructed real estate solutions at the international trade Expo for real estate and investments.  Panattoni representatives from 16 countries will be onsite. For Germany particular focus will be placed on the role that project developers might play in the future-proof development of cities. Based on the example of Cologne, Europe's largest developer of logistics, industrial and commercial properties will show how historical urban spaces can be revived. In addition to revitalising the site of the former Ford plant in Cologne-Niehl, one Brownfield each will be repurposed in Cologne-Westhoven and in Bornheim for a new commercial use. All three projects are part of Panattoni’s efforts to reduce the sealing of new surfaces. With more than 2.63 million square metres of revitalised Brownfields in Germany, Panattoni is among the most experienced Brownfield developers in the country.
