- Panattoni announces full occupancy of its logistics park in Verden
- BLG Logistics moves into approx. 67,000 m² of usable space and thus the last large-scale logistics facility available in the region at short notice
Panattoni, the leading project developer for industrial and logistics real estate in Europe, announces the handover of the entire Panattoni Park Bremen South in Verden, Germany, to BLG Handelslogistik GmbH & Co. KG shortly after completion. The internationally operating seaport and logistics service provider headquartered in Bremen offers services in the fields of automotive, container, port, contract, transport and cargo handling logistics and has more than 100 branches on several continents. The company will use the facility to provide logistics services for food retailers. After projects in Bremen, Düsseldorf and Berlin Falkensee, this is the fourth project undertaken by Panattoni and BLG Logistics together.
The new user has moved into a total floor space of approx. 67.000 m², with approx. 59,000 m² of hall space, 3,700 m² of office space and just under 4,000 m² of mezzanine space. The outdoor area has 168 car and 28 lorry parking spaces. Goods are delivered via several ramps and ground-level doors. Panattoni achieved Gold certification from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) for the development work. BLG Logistics moved into these new spaces at the start of November of this year.
“Moving into the Panattoni Park in Verden has allowed us to grow further in a dynamic region in which we are firmly rooted thanks to our company headquarters. We are pleased to have concluded the rental agreement after partnership negotiations and we look forward to being able to use the new logistics spaces in a flexible and uncomplicated manner,” explains Marcus Felten, Administrations & Services Manager at BLG Logistics.
With the handover of the logistics park in Verden, the last large-scale property available at short notice in the economic and logistics region of Bremen has now been rented out. The location is close to BLG Logistics’ head office in Bremen and boasts excellent transport links in all four cardinal directions via the A27 and A7 federal autobahns.
“Fully renting out both halls of the Panattoni Park Bremen South is a huge triumph. We are glad to have BLG Logistics on board as the future user of the new spaces and we would like to thank them once again for the excellent cooperation on an equal footing,” says Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner at Panattoni.
Logivest GmbH advised BLG Logistics during the rental negotiations, and Robert C. Spies and BNP Paribas Real Estate were responsible for marketing the spaces beforehand.
