The industrial developer Panattoni Europe, in cooperation with its partner LOGISTIS, managed by AEW Europe, launched the preparatory works related to the construction of the first logistics hall for the company DSV in Panattoni Park Prague Airport II, next to Pavlov village as well as the International Airport. The company will relocate from its existing premises based in Panattoni Park Prague Airport I. The new logistics premises will comprise 23,301 sqm.
"Our company has decided to move to this new location with the perspective of further development. The developer has started preparation for the potential expansion and when considering the possible acquistions by our company the approach is more than welcomed. In addition, we remain in an attractive location in close proximity of the international airport and the city centre, " said Petr Chocholaty Managing Director of DSV Road for the Czech Republic.
"Based on the schedule we shall deliver the completed logistics hall to DSV by July next year. The first and also fast arrival of this long-term logistics tenant confirms that Panattoni Park Prague Airport II is an attractive location for its investors. This is why I firmly believe that we will soon announce the arrival of the first production company in the region, " said Pavel Sovička, General Director for Panattoni Europe in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
" We are very proud of welcoming our first tenant in Park Prague Airport II. The signature of this first lease confirms the strength of the project as well as the region," said Rémy Vertupier, Fund Manager of LOGISTIS, the fund managed by AEW Europe invested in the project.
In the meantime, the developer started to break the ground works and other related works. The construction of the first logistics hall should start at the end of this year.
Panattoni Park Prague Airport II will consist of six buildings totalling 123,000 sqm of potential development space, to be built in several phases. One of the advantages of the park is the flexibility, the minimum size requirement being 3,000 sqm. The second important aspect is the possibility for the client to either lease the premises, which is a market standard, and/or sign the contract with the developer for built to own option.
Panattoni Park Prague Airport II, of which the name is selfspeaking, is closely linked to the successful Panattoni Park Prague Airport I, which is located only a few kilometers away from the new park, and is fully let since the beginning of last August. Amazon, the giant online retailer, was the latest client to sign a long term lease. Panattoni Europe has constructed a 133,000 sqm logistics hall, which is the largest ever built industrial building in the Czech Republic history.
