The new hall in Panattoni Park Cheb East is already serving its tenant. It is being used by a leading global company from the automotive sector

Panattoni has announced the handover of the fully completed hall at Panattoni Park Cheb East. Part of the building with a total floor area of 61,000 sqm is already occupied by a tenant from the automotive sector. The building is ready for expansion by a further 18,000 sqm and aspires to achieve the highest rating under the stringent BREEAM New Construction international sustainability certification.

The new modern industrial zone Panattoni Park Cheb East stands out for its excellent transport accessibility. This was one of the reasons why the first building was taken over by a company from the automotive sector, which will use it to streamline its logistics chain and reduce its global carbon footprint.

This building demonstrates our ability to provide cutting-edge logistics solutions to clients, and in a short timeframe. I would like to emphasize that heat pumps are used to heat the hall, which confirms the current trend of moving away from fossil fuels and the overall decarbonization of industry," says Klára Sobotková, Regional Development Director, Panattoni.

Panattoni Park Cheb East is located close to important traffic arteries, such as the E42 road connecting Prague with Nuremberg or the connection to the D5 motorway leading from Prague to Rozvadov. In addition, there is also a rail corridor from Prague to Nuremberg, supplemented by a rail link to the border areas of Germany and the Czech Republic. Just 54 kilometres from the site is also the container terminal in Hof, from where direct trains run to ports in the North Sea and Baltic Sea. Karlovy Vary International Airport is accessible within a 45-minute drive.

The new hall at Panattoni Park Cheb East is designed with sustainability and energy efficiency in mind. It will aim to achieve the highest BREEAM New Construction certification rating of Outstanding. As with all new buildings in the Panattoni portfolio, measures aimed at saving electricity, heating and water are no exception. Its sustainable features include the possibility of installing photovoltaic panels on the roof, energy-efficient heating provided by heat pumps and underground grey water tanks. In addition, there will be charging stations for electric vehicles in the outdoor car park, and green spaces with grass, shrubs and trees throughout the surrounding area of the hall.
