Press releases

Maersk, Raben and Exyte Technology are heading to Hostomice in Teplice. They will fill the last vacant space in Panattoni Park Teplice South

The industrial zone in Hostomice reports full occupancy - the last vacant spaces in the complex will be filled by international logistics companies Maersk, Raben and manufacturing company Exyte. Danish Maersk will take over the use of 14,000 m2 of warehouse space, from where it will distribute batteries for electric vehicles. A further 312 m2 of space will be used as offices and welfare facilities. The Dutch company Raben will occupy a total of 2,500 m2 of leasable space, which it will use for its cross-dock operations. The German company Exyte Technology will use the 6,350 m2 of space to manufacture clean room technology. Panattoni Park Teplice South is another example of successful brownfield revitalisation.

"I am delighted that after the recent filling of the last leasable space at Panattoni Park Týniště, we were able to follow up our industrial site in Hostomice, with the same success before its completion. We are thus able to successfully complete the planned revitalisation and redevelopment of the famous glassworks, which were inherently linked to the local area. The site will thus once again find a meaningful use that will help the entire region economically and will be far more environmentally friendly than the original production," says Pavel Sovička, Panattoni Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

In accordance with Maersk's requirements, the logistics hall is equipped with a number of safety features that guarantee the safe handling of batteries for electric vehicles. In addition to thermal monitoring cameras and fire sprinklers in racks throughout the warehouse, the space is divided into four independent, fire-resistant sections.

In addition to storage and packaging, services offered in the dedicated warehouse include in-depth quality control, battery charging and other value-added services within automotive supply chains. This is a completely unique operation in the country.

Panattoni Park Teplice South benefits from its strategic location. The industrial park is located on the E442 road, which provides a direct connection to the town of Teplice and the D8 motorway. In addition, Maersk will benefit from the nearby railway, which will allow them to import batteries for electric vehicles directly from port warehouses located in Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Koper or Rijeka.

The 32,500 sqm industrial zone was built on the site of the former Kavalier glassworks, where, after the brownfield redevelopment, part of the completed hall is already being used by the Czech sanitary equipment retailer Sanitino, which took over the 5,800 sqm premises at the end of last year. This year, the space has been expanded to a total of 9,300 sqm. The semi-automatic hall stands out for its latest logistics technology and its unusual three-storey layout. This allows to maximize storage space and to make the process of packing and shipping goods more efficient and faster. The entire hall aspires to the prestigious "Excellent" rating within the BREEAM environmental certification.
