Panattoni, the leading European industrial developer, has begun the construction of Panattoni Park Bydgoszcz III with a planned area of 43,000 sqm. The first tenant is Reconext, a company that services electronic equipment, and the size of the lease is 12,800 sqm. The building is to be constructed to BREEAM 'Very Good' certification standards, and solar panels are to be installed for the use of the tenant.
Bydgoszcz moves forward. The developer has started the development of its third multi-tenant warehouse and production park. The 43,000 sqm project already has its first tenant – the Polish branch of international company Reconext (formerly known as Teleplan and Clover Wireless). The company is the leading after-sales service supplier for servicing electronic equipment. Its markets cover home electronics, corporate networks, data storage, IoT, mobile devices, and point of sale equipment. Reconext has leased 12,800 sqm in Panattoni Park Bydgoszcz III, including 11,500 sqm of servicing, testing, and warehousing space and 1,300 sqm of office space. The tenant is to move into the park from as soon as January 2021 and as a result will be able to increase its capacity and broaden its range of clients.
Panattoni Park Bydgoszcz III meets the needs of socially responsible firms. The Bydgoszcz logistics centre is to be built in accordance with the developer's 'Go Earthwise with Panattoni' concept of sustainable development, which at the same time fits in with the business DNA of Reconext. “Business responsibility, sustainable development, and care for the environment are at the heart of everything we do. In our 18 service centres worldwide, we reduce unnecessary man-made waste and CO2 emissions, saving energy and materials while extending the life cycle of electronic products and components. Reconext invests in green buildings as well as in reducing its operational carbon footprint. In just Europe alone, we are investing in new ecologically sustainable buildings in two locations,” comments Dorota Lemańska from Reconext.
“For this as well as other reasons, the space set aside for Reconext in Panattoni Park Bydgoszcz III will not only be adapted to the operational needs of the business but additionally Panattoni is to install solar panels of 300 kWp,” adds Tomasz Śarama, Associate Director, Panattoni. The project, just like all Panattoni parks under construction, is to be submitted for a BREEAM certification rating of 'Very Good'. The building is to have the new standard of Panattoni glass façade installed and will have a number of features to reduce CO2 emissions and water usage. The park will include electric car charging stations and specially designed green areas to be watered partly using recovered rain.
Panattoni Park Bydgoszcz III is to comprise 43,000 sqm in one building on the city limits. The park will be located just 5.5 km from the centre and 8 km from Bydgoszcz airport. It will also be situated just 3 km from the city's bypass and national road number 80, just 9 km from the nearest junction of the S10 expressway. The central location of Bydgoszcz, its access to an international airport, and its convenient access to the seaports of the Tricity and the economic centres of Berlin and Wrocław are significant long-term benefits of this location for the service industry, including for the TSL sector and production.
