Panattoni Europe, Poland's leader in the industrial real estate market, completed another industrial facility in the Warsaw region. This time, it is building two at Panattoni Park Swiecice I, leased to Tech Data. The investment commenced last April and today the Tech Data distribution centre is already operating from its new location. Building one at the park, a BTS facility dedicated to Danone Sp. z o.o., was also commissioned recently - last July.
Tech Data Polska, owned by one of the world's largest IT distributors, has moved to Swiecice near Warsaw. At Panattoni Park Swiecice I, Tech Data Polska occupies the entire floorspace of building two - 16,613 sqm, of which 700 sqm is used as staff facilities and offices, while the rest serves as a warehouse.
Tech Data's previous distribution centre was located in Warsaw at ul. Inowlodzka. The first stage of relocation to the new facility in Swiecice took place on 16-18 September. The logistic operation lasted over a day and involved moving goods accounting for 80% of the warehouse value, including 3,000 fast-moving materials. Stage two will involve moving goods from non-commercial locations (e.g. RMA), slow-moving products and the so-called project orders.
"At the new facility we can introduce the latest technologies already tested in Tech Data's European branches, e.g. 'parallel picking', which will boost work efficiency and ensure top-level customer service. The new location of the warehouse helps us keep the costs of logistics low, while HD cameras and round-the-clock security service will improve the security of stored goods" - said Piotr Bartnicki, Warehouse Operations Manager at Tech Data Polska.
Panattoni Park Swiecice I comprises two buildings with total space of 30,213 sqm. Apart from modern warehouse space leased to Tech Data Polska, it also includes a BTS facility, custom-made for Danone Sp. z o.o., with 13,600 sqm of space which can be extended to 16,300 sqm. Danone moved into the new distribution centre last July.
Panattoni Park Swiecice I lies in the Warsaw West poviat, Ozarów Mazowiecki commune, less than 19 km from the capital's city centre, at national road no 2 (E30). The planned junction with the motorway A2 places this investment in a strategic location. In the vicinity of the first park, there also lies Panattoni Park Swiecice II with planned total space of 20,000 sqm. Building one in this location is dedicated to a customer from the logistics sector, and construction works started last August.
