Panattoni Europe, Poland's leader in the warehouse space sector, is increasing the space of its parks by 18,100 m². A press distributor will lease 5,300 m² at Panattoni Park Gdańsk and 5,400 m² at Panattoni Business Center Łódź in the newly developed buildings. The transaction was mediated by the advisory firm Jones Lang LaSalle.
Panattoni Europe has already started construction works at two of its parks. The first is Panattoni Park Gdańsk, where the 8,400-square-metre warehouse facility will be built as the second building out of the four planned. The other is Panattoni Business Center Łódź, where the 9,700-square-metre building is the second and last planned at the park.
The new tenant in both projects is a Polish press and FMCG distributor. At Panattoni Park Gdańsk, the firm will lease 5,300 m² of space, whereas at Panattoni Park Business Center Łódź it will occupy 5,400 m². Both locations will be used by the tenant as modern distribution centres with a total space of 10,700 m². Altogether Panattoni Europe in Poland has around 110,000 m² of space under construction.
"Panattoni Europe's experience and portfolio of existing facilities, as well as their extension potential have contributed to the fact that the Polish leader in the press distribution market decided to go with the same developer in both locations. I am glad that the strengths of our parks are appreciated and I hope our cooperation in this scope will keep developing" - said Bartłomiej Krawiecki, Panattoni Europe.
Jan Barbasiewicz, Senior Negotiator at the Warehouse and Industrial Space Department, Jones Lang LaSalle, added: "We were truly pleased to advise on the choice of appropriate logistics centres. Such a specific branch as the press with an elaborate sales network operated by the press distribution company requires top-of-the-range logistics, and consequently - warehouses representing the highest standards, custom-tailored, which guarantee efficient and smooth distribution of the press and other goods. Panattoni's presence in many locations across the country and the comprehensive services it offers were very important factors in the decision-making process."
Panattoni Park Gdańsk has an appealing location for companies operating in Poland and internationally, in the vicinity of the southern Tricity bypass, linking the A1 motorway with the national road no 7, some 500 m from the planned road junction "Błonia" on the Sucharski Route, running from the Gdańsk harbour to the southern bypass and the A1 motorway. Panattoni Park Gdańsk is now made up of one fully-leased 7,600-square-metre building, whereas the space planned at the facility at full build-out amounts to 46,100 m² in four buildings.
Panattoni Business Center Łódź is a modern park, located barely 5km from the centre of Łódź, at the planned junction "Andrespol" on the A1 motorway (Gdańsk-Cieszyn). It is suited to the needs of smaller tenants, with minimum warehouse modules for rent of approx. 1,600 m². The warehouse section is a modern class A space, with access to docks and ground level entrance, which can be used both for storage purposes and light production. The design provides for two buildings and the first, with 9,000 m² of space, was commissioned in 2010.
