Panattoni Europe, European leader in industrial real estate, has completed the construction of two warehousing facilities with a total area of approximately 42,500 sqm for Raben Logistics Poland. The logistics’ new branch was built as a part of Panattoni Park Grodzisk III and is adapted to store approx. 50,000 pallets. The facility employs over 300 people and is able to serve over 85,000 shipments a day. Official opening of the new branch of Raben Logistics Poland took place on 6th of April this year.
Raben Logistics Poland is constantly developing, through improving procedures and ensuring the highest standard of customer service. The company invests in new technologies and innovative solutions, as well as in warehouses that meet the highest safety and quality standards. That is why, having in mind clients and employees, a decision was made to build new warehouses in Chlebnia and transfer there a branch from Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
"In the old branch in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, we were a bit cramped" - explains Jolanta Sawińska, Regional Director, Raben Logistics Poland - "Due to the development of our customers, and thus the increase in both their volumes and expectations, we have made a decision to move to a larger and more modern location. It is worth noting that we have been operating in this commune for over 20 years. This is, amongst other, due to the attitude of the Mayor and local authorities who provide a friendly business investment climate in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. "
The newly opened branch in Chlebnia consists of two separate warehouse facilities: the so-called low cross-dock warehouse with an area of approx. 8,000 sqm, and a high-storage warehouse with an area of 34,000 sqm, able to accommodate about 50,000 pallets. The investment was carried out by Panattoni Europe.
"Two tailor-made buildings, including one cross-dock, with a total area of over 42,500 sqm is the latest development of Panattoni Europe for Raben Logistics Poland. They were built as a part of one of the most strategic locations - at Panattoni Park Grodzisk III. The complex is located near the Grodzisk Mazowiecki Junction on the A2 motorway and close to the future bypass of Grodzisk Mazowiecki. It is a key location for clients focusing on logistic service for both Warsaw and the domestic market. Therefore, I am glad that we could offer our long-term client such a convenient location. " - says Marek Dobrzycki, Managing Director, Panattoni Europe.
Every day, the facility is able to serve over 4,000 shipments and accept, unload and load approx. 265 cars. In addition, the new location includes an office building with a usable area of 2,600 sqm and a car park with 214 spaces for passenger cars and 65 spaces for heavy goods vehicles. Total employment in Chlebnia is currently 315 people in the office and warehouse, the branch cooperates with 60 carriers who employ 279 drivers.
"We have decided to choose this new branch location due to the strategic placement and infrastructure tailored to investors' needs as well as the favorable policy of local authorities." - explains Janusz Anioł, General Director of Raben Logistics Poland, and adds - "The new investment accounts for over 40% of the Raben Logistics Poland warehouse space in the Mazovian region. It was also another professional project carried out with Panattoni, who, knowing our needs, is always ready to answer them. "
Chlebnia is not only a modern but also ecological facility. It uses solutions that allow to reduce the consumption of electricity, gas and water. For example, the warehouses have been equipped with LED lighting, the skylights installed in them provide permanent access to natural daylight, and modern gas radiators have also been used for heating them. Whereas, the office building has mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. The facility is also provided with the right number of hydrants, corresponding to the distribution of racks. Thus increasing the level of fire safety.
The fact that safety is important for the company is also shown by the traffic lights installed at all docks - loading ramps. It indicates both which ramp is available, and when the driver can safely drive away from the ramp after loading.
