Panattoni expands Warsaw market - 70,500 sqm at Panattoni Park Warsaw South Janki

Panattoni Europe, industrial real estate leader in Europe, has embarked on the construction of Panattoni Park Warsaw South Janki. The distribution centre planned to total 70,500 sqm has already got its first tenant – ROHLIG SUUS Logistics, which will take up 48,500 sqm. The park will also offer Small Business Units with a minimum size of 900 sqm. Project completion is planned for Q4 2019.

Panattoni Europe expands its portfolio of distribution parks in the Warsaw market. The developer already controls nearly half a million square metres of space in the region, across seven distribution centres, and has now announced the commencement of construction works on Panattoni Park Warsaw South Janki. The new investment, planned to total 70,500 sqm, provides for two buildings of 55,000 sqm and 20,000 sqm respectively, with the former already leased to ROHLIG SUUS Logistics. The company will take up 48,500 sqm (which is one of the largest quantities of space leased by a logistics operator in a single facility). Panattoni Park Warsaw South Janki will also feature Small Business Units with a minimum size of 900 sqm, which alongside the facility for ROHLIG SUUS Logistics will be delivered to the market in Q4 later this year. With this most recent project, Panattoni Europe can boast 127,500 sqm of space under development in and around Warsaw.

The 48,500 sqm leased by the logistics operator will comprise 36,000 sqm of a high-bay warehouse and 10,000 sqm of a cross-docking reloading terminal. The unique layout of the facility – with both functional parts under one roof – will enable the tenant to reduce handling operations, improving labour efficiency and shipment security, and shortening lead times for deliveries in the capital city and the Masovia region. Office space will take up 2,500 sqm. The entire facility for ROHLIG SUUS Logistics will be armed with advanced building management technologies, including smart automation and control systems for flat roof surfaces. It will enable ongoing monitoring, registration of variables, and analysis – including that of weather forecasts. All this will not only contribute to cost optimisation in facility maintenance, but also make it possible to address changing conditions well in advance.

Panattoni Park Warsaw South Janki is a modern logistics centre right next to the Janki junction, connecting the S8 expressway with national road DK7, and a short distance from the S2, which is part of the Southern Warsaw Bypass. It is one of the most important locations for transport in the Warsaw region.
