Panattoni Europe, recognised as industrial space leader at the 11th edition of CIJ Awards. The developer has won four awards in the following categories: Industrial Developer of the Year, Industrial Lease of the Year, Industrial Investment Transaction of the Year, as well as the individual award for the "Leadership of the Year" which went to Robert Dobrzycki, Panattoni's Managing Partner for Central and Eastern Europe.
The 12th edition of CIJ Awards, organised by the CEE development industry monthly, is now behind us. The competition has come to be regarded as prestigious and every year brings together the representatives of the property development and real estate sector of Central and Eastern Europe. Outside of Poland, it is also held in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia. The award ceremony of this year's Poland edition took place on 30 October last at the Hotel Westin in Warsaw.
Panattoni Europe - same as last year - received as many as four prestigious awards. "Industrial/ Warehouse Developer of the Year" confirmed the developer's activity in the market. In the period which was taken into account by the jury, i.e. from November 2012 through to the end of October this year, the developer delivered 122,000 sqm of new warehouse space. The contracts signed in the first half of this year alone accounted for as much as 281,267 sqm, with 151,850 sqm of that in new leases. According to Jones Lang LaSalle, Panattoni Europe is the most active player in the market, and it was confirmed at CIJ Awards.
The title of "Industrial/Warehouse Lease of the Year" was given to the developer's contract with Castorama Polska, the country's largest chain of construction and home improvement hypermarkets, the so-called DIY sector. The facility is under development in Stryków and is set to feature 50,000 sqm, which makes this contract one of the biggest in the market. The facility will be used by its tenant as a modern logistics centre, with a warehouse section accounting for as much as approx. 49,220 sqm and adapted for the purposes of effectively managing supplies from various sources. The remaining section of more than 780 sqm will serve as modern office space.
This year's competition jury also celebrated Panattoni Park Łódź East, naming the project extension as the "Warehouse Development of the Year", which involved expanding the complex by approx. 8,000 sqm last January. Panattoni Park Łódź East currently comprises four facilities totalling 140,300 sqm, and at full build-out it will provide nearly 160 thousand sqm which gives it a special place in the developer's portfolio.
Moreover, Robert Dobrzycki, Managing Partner Panattoni Europe for Central and Eastern Europe, was recognised for "Leadership of the Year" for the fifth time. This year's title follows his implementation of a new, more independent strategy towards business partners, business diversification, as well as some good decisions which made it possible for the developer's parks to grow and achieve the phenomenal market share in new industrial space.
Since 2005, that is from the onset of Panattoni's presence in Central Europe, the developer has built more than 1.9 million sqm of modern industrial space. The market appreciates Panattoni's systematically implemented development strategy and has shown its recognition in numerous awards. The most recent include the Tenants' Prize for the Best Logistics Park 2013 awarded at EASTLOG 2013 to Airport Logistic Park and the title of the Industrial Developer of the Year 2012 as part of the prestigious competition CEE Quality Awards (CEEQA).
