Panattoni Europe, industrial real estate leader, is launching the construction of another project for manufacturing purposes. It will be a 10,559 square-metre facility for a Northern Irish owned packaging manufacturer - Delta Packaging, which is being developed at Panattoni Park Gliwice II, located within the Katowice Special Economic Zone - Gliwice Subzone. The transaction was mediated by real estate agency Cushman&Wakefield.
Panattoni Europe has launched the construction of a build-to-suit (BTS) facility for manufacturing purposes again. This time, the customer is a Northern Irish supplier of packaging for products ranging from ice cream to consumer electronics - Delta Packaging. The facility total totalling 10,559 sqm of space, with a storage and manufacturing section accounting for 9,684 sqm and office space of 875 sqm will be built at the developer's existing park - Panattoni Park Gliwice II, which lies within the Katowice Special Economic Zone - Gliwice Subzone. Project completion is anticipated in mid-June 2015.
In its new manufacturing plant, Delta Packaging will be making biodegradable packaging based on wood fibre, for e.g. dry goods, beverages, sweets, electronics and household appliances. The factory will cater mainly to customers from Central and Eastern Europe, and the investment itself aims to provide the corporation with better access to the Baltic markets and other countries of the European Union. This will also be facilitated by the location of Panattoni Park Gliwice - at as little as 8 km from the centre of Gliwice, and in the vicinity of the Gliwice-Sośnica junction, connecting the motorways A1 and A4 - in the north-west part of Upper Silesia, which enjoys growing interest from businesses due to the road investments under way.
At present, Panattoni Europe is developing 162,600 sqm of new warehouse space which is comprised of such investments as the recently established Panattoni Park Sosnowiec, Panattoni Park Ożarów II or Panattoni Park Poznań III and IV, as well as a new facility at Panattoni Park Łódź East. Panattoni has just completed the two fulfilment centres for Amazon totalling 246,000 sqm. The developer also tops the podium in terms of performance for H1 2014 - the company delivered 108,000 sqm to the market (incl. 50,000 sqm for Castorama Polska and 33,600 sqm for Polaris), that is more than twice as much as the runner-up, and also had the highest number of square metres under construction, with as much as 34,900 sqm.
