The Central European Logistics Hub (CEL HUB) Panattoni is the largest logistics complex and business cluster in Europe. It is located at Jędrzejowska street, right next to A1 - the only Polish motorway running north-south. The hub is located only 30 km from the Łódź Północ junction, which is the intersection of the A1 and A2 motorways. The ideal location in the center of Poland provides access to the intersection of European routes - east-west and north-south. CEL Hub is the driving force behind the emerging New Industrial District of Łódź, which will employ over 7,000 people.
Łódź – the heart of logistics and industry
Thanks to the implementation of the Central European Logistics Hub within the city limits, Łódź is once again becoming the industrial heart of Poland, offering modern space to representatives of hundreds of industries and sectors. The investment has already reached over 630,000 sq m and everything indicates that the complex will continue to grow.
This is where logistics meets e-commerce
The ideally located investment attracts giants from various industries. As much as 70,000 sq m has been rented by the SMYK group - an international chain of specialist stores with products for children. Thanks to its location within the borders of Łódź, the investment is a key link in the e-commerce servicing of the enterprise. The facility, among other things, can boast the floor load capacity which was increased to 7t/sq m.
Over 270,000 sq m has been occupied by one of the largest electronics supermarket chains in Poland, Media Expert, which located its central warehouse in the CEL HUB. The company rents three facilities that are responsible for handling both brick-and-mortar sales and e-commerce, including returns. All buildings are connected to each other by enclosed belt conveyors which enable automatic product transfer.
Business cluster – everything in one place
Almost 137,000 sq m of the CEL Hub has been leased by BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego (Household Goods), and what Panattoni provided includes two railway sidings with three parking tracks – two outside and one inside the building. Inside the building, a railway station was built. Its platform is 590 m long, that is the length of the building. The logistics center is the heart of the BSH distribution system in Poland and is used to service the supply chain both domestically and abroad.
The facility is connected by means of two covered and enclosed connectors, 58 m each, with the BSH factory adjacent to the CEL Hub, which covers 57,000 sq m and was the largest household appliance production plant in Europe at the time of its opening. In addition, Panattoni has established a business cluster in the form of the Appliance Park in the Central European Logistics Hub. The complex with an area of 30,000 sq m is addressed to suppliers of components for the BSH factory.
CEL Hub is a place for everyone
The Central European Logistics Hub is an investment with great potential, which provides a strategic location for the development of the park's tenants. The space within the complex is used by, among others, Langowski Logistics, for which the hub has become a transshipment warehouse of the New Silk Road. The owner of the clothing brand Tatuum - Kan sp.z o.o. also conducts international activities from the investment in Łódź. It is from the CEL HUB that the company supplies its products to over a hundred stores in Poland and Europe. The location within the city limits has also proved to be attractive for the courier industry - over 8,700 sq m at the Central European Logistics Hub has been rented by InPost.
Local communities – stakeholders not only among business
The implementation of the Central European Logistics Hub is also used by stakeholders not related to business or industry, i.e. the local community. As part of the investment, Panattoni rebuilt Jędrzejowska street, and the renovation included sidewalks and lighting. In addition, transport networks with sidewalks, stops and infrastructure for the city, also resident-friendly, have been implemented throughout the city. In addition, local communities benefit from numerous replacement plantings prepared by Panattoni throughout Łódź. In addition, during the implementation of the investment, the developer designated a buffer zone at the back of his buildings, without going deeply into the area with the investment and leaving a part of the forest. Dikes along the HUB were built to separate potential residential areas from the project. The site was also rehabilitated, as there was a construction waste dump on some plots, the land was contaminated, and there are still some wild dumps.
Panattoni and Łódź – foundations of long-term cooperation
Central European Logistics Hub is the perfect summary of all Panattoni activities in the region, where we deliver facilities tailored to a wide portfolio of recipients - from logistics, through trade, to production. We have been present in Łódź and its surroundings since the beginning of our activity, approaching 2 million square meters of delivered space. Thanks to our investments, Łódź is constantly developing, but Panattoni too, thanks to the kindness and support of local authorities, is constantly expanding its portfolio, constantly raising the bar for the entire industry.
