Construction of Panattoni Park Twente will officially start in March 2023. The high-end distribution center of 55,000 square meters in size is located on the XL Businesspark Twente in Almelo. This business park is fully geared to transport in and out of Europe and offers excellent connections to home and abroad by road, water, rail and air. The sustainable distribution center will be built according to BREEAM standards, is natural gas-free and the entire roof will be fitted with solar panels. Completion of the entire building is scheduled for the second quarter of 2024.
Logistics hotspot
Jeroen Gerritsen, general manager Panattoni Netherlands, says: "Panattoni Park Twente will soon measure 55,000 square meters, have 48 loading docks and almost 400 parking spaces. The warehouse can possibly be divided into 4 individual units, each with its own office. It is uniquely positioned in this logistics hotspot in terms of size and location." It has a public loading and unloading quay directly on the Twente Canal, which connects to the European network of rivers and canals. Sustainable innovations
Panattoni Netherlands is constantly looking for sustainable innovations with partners and future tenants. Currently, all Panattoni developments are already natural gas-free and they have at least the BREEAM Very Good sustainability certificate. Wherever possible, sustainable building materials have been used in the development. With each new development, Panattoni examines the optimal use of the solar potential of the roof in question - for powering tenants' business processes and feeding back into the electricity grid.
