“The new hall was completed on schedule, so we are happy to be able to guarantee our partners that the products supplied by us will be in the right place at the right time, as well as in the right quality. The special hall also meets all the demands placed on handling pharmaceutical products,” says Daniel Horák, CEO of ViaPharma.
“We are happy to have launched an avalanche of certifications with our focus on constructing green buildings. We always try to meet the latest and strictest criteria. We don’t want to have certification just for certification’s sake. With the project for ViaPharma, we set the imaginary bar higher again. With regard to the technological features of the hall, I would like to highlight the solution of various temperature modes. In agreement with the client, we used air-to-air heat pumps and the principle of free-cooling, which consists in using untreated outdoor air to cool the interior,” says Pavel Sovička, Panattoni Europe’s Managing Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The total investment in real estate and technology exceeds CZK 1 billion. ViaPharma entered into a lease for 15 years at Panattoni Park Prague Airport II, with assistance in negotiating the transaction provided by the real estate consultancy firm CBRE. The construction and operation of the building will meet the requirements of the State Institute for Drug Control.
The essence of the project was to adapt the already ongoing speculative construction to ViaPharma’s specific needs. Among other things, cooling and sections with different temperature modes had to be added. The distribution centre also includes a pharmacy and a dedicated section for the distribution of Dr. Max’s e-shop.
Panattoni Park Prague Airport II is booming. In less than three years, it has welcomed eight companies which have gradually occupied an area of over 120,000 sqm. The attractiveness of the industrial zone lies above all in its excellent transport infrastructure and a sufficient number of qualified workers. Clients especially appreciate the proximity of the international airport, the connection to the D6 motorway and the Prague ring road, as well as the connection to Prague and its long-term high-capacity labour market.
