Panattoni Park Bad Hersfeld Ost fully let: Maersk is moving into around 71,800 m²

The developer for industrial and logistics properties, Panattoni, announces that the new Panattoni Park Bad Hersfeld Ost is fully let. The sole tenant is the logistics company, Maersk. The let spaces in Herleshausen, Hesse, are comprised of around 71,800 m² of modern logistics space, of that, 62,800 m² are for warehouse use, 2,900 m² for office space and 6,100 m² of mezzanine space. The space will be handed over in August 2026.

Conveniently located in northern Hesse, in the middle of Germany, Panattoni Park Bad Hersfeld Ost is ideally suited as a distribution site on European markets with its direct connection to the A4 federal motorway. Within a few hours by lorry, nearly every relevant sales market in Germany can be reached, as can the European neighbours that border Germany. Thus, the global logistics service provider, Maersk, is expanding its supply chain on the domestic German market and beyond.

The start of operations of the logistics site also strengthens Herleshausen as an economic site. One immediate effect is that Maersk plans to create almost 1,000 new jobs here.

The green building concept for Panattoni Park Bad Hersfeld Ost includes photovoltaic systems, rainwater collection and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. In addition, a materials passport in line with the Madaster standard has been applied for in order to transparently document the recyclability of the building materials used. A nature-oriented outdoor design and integrated well-being areas improve the quality of the environment and the attractiveness of the site for employees. The direct connection to public transport via a bus stop on the site also supports environmentally friendly mobility. The project was built in accordance with the criteria of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and is aiming for DGNB Gold certification.
