Panattoni handed over new production site for global leader in automotive technology

Panattoni Park Bratislava North, located near the village of Plavecký Štvrtok, has officially handed over its new production hall to a global leader in automotive technology. The third hall within Panattoni Park Bratislava North, which will be used for the production of interior components and electronic systems for cars, follows the successful occupation of the previous two halls by client IKEA, namely its IKEA Components and IKEA Industry divisions. A key aspect of this new facility is its emphasis on green solutions and energy efficiency. The third hall will also aim to achieve the prestigious BREEAM New Construction 2016 certification at the second highest level, Excellent, confirming the developer's commitment to promoting a sustainable future. It is scheduled to start operations in early 2025.

The construction of the third hall is part of the second stage of the development of Panattoni Park Bratislava North, which has become a strategic point for several international companies since its inception. This project relies on modern technological solutions and strict environmental standards.

Sustainability as a key pillar of development

Panattoni Park Bratislava North meets the highest criteria for energy and environmental efficiency. The entire complex has been designed with an emphasis on minimising the environmental impact. Key environmental measures include monitoring of water consumption and potential leakage, the use of certified building materials, as well as advanced air treatment systems with low energy consumption and light conductors with regulation, which allow maximum use of natural light to illuminate the office space. An important part of the project is also the preparation for the use of photovoltaic energy, which will contribute to reducing operating costs and promoting sustainable energy sources.

The entire park is characterised by a modern water management solution, where retention tanks are used to collect rainwater and reuse it. Furthermore, a system of water reuse from sprinkler systems is implemented. There is also a strong emphasis on responsible waste management. Panattoni Park Bratislava North has a waste minimisation and reuse plan in place, reducing the negative impact on the environment. In cooperation with partner company Reneso, a programme for the collection and recycling of cigarette butts has been introduced, which contributes to further improvement of the park's environmental parameters.

In addition to the technical solutions aimed at sustainability, beehives and insect hotels will also be established in the park, which will increase biodiversity and promote ecological balance within the site. The parking areas are designed to incorporate green canopies with climbing plants, which will improve the microclimate and reduce overheating of the areas.

The importance of this project for the region is not only ecological but also economic

The financing of the construction of the second phase of the project was secured through close cooperation with the Slovak Savings Bank. One of the main criteria for the approval of the financing was precisely the sustainable aspects and the fulfilment of strict environmental standards. The opening of the new production hall is expected to contribute to the economic development of the region and create new job opportunities for local residents.
