Panattoni Europe, one of the largest industrial space developers in Europe, is proud to announce that both of Panattoni Czech projects were awarded in the past two weeks; Panattoni Park Prague-Airport and D5 Logistics Park.
Panattoni Park Prague-Airport - awarded during the CIJ Awards Ceremony
The CIJ Awards Ceremony was held on November 25, 2009 in Marriott Hotel in Prague. During the ceremony the distribution park, Panattoni Park Prague-Airport, was granted an award in the category of Best Warehouse/Logistics Industrial & Logistics Development of the Year 2009.
Panattoni Park Prague Airport, developer's flagship in the Czech Republic, directly neighboring the Prague Ruzyne International Airport, is being called a "multimodal hub". Thanks to the great location the park is accessible from roads (R6, R7 and R1 motorways), air (Prague Ruzyně Airport) and railway (potential railway siding).
As part of the investment, the traffic layout adjacent to the property has been modified. Panattoni invested in the construction of a roundabout, which connects it to the R6 motorway. The investment has helped improve the traffic in the Dobrovíz village. Panattoni also invested in the construction of the public waste water treatment. Upon completion, the distribution center will comprise 8 buildings, covering an area of 160,000 m². Presently, the existing space encompasses three facilities of 50,000 m² and is 90% leased. The customers of the park include Domo Service, CEVA Logistics, Čechofracht and Great United Trading (TIME OUT).
D5 Logistics Park - awarded as an "Industrial Park with the Greatest Economic Benefit in the Czech Republic", the competition is being organized by CzechInvest in cooperation with the Association for Foreign Investment and Ministry of Industry.
The decisive criteria for placement in this category are properties' engineering solution, technical equipment and size. Other evaluated factors include the level of cooperation with educational institutes and the number of newly created specialized jobs.
The distribution center, Panattoni D5 Logistics Park, offering in total 60,000 sqm within two facilities, lies 45 km away from the German border. Due to its location by exit 107 from the D5 Prague-Nuremberg highway, the park ideally meets the needs of companies cooperating with Czech and international producers. Other customers of the park are companies such as: Assa Abloy, Lear Corporation, Bock Czech Kaltemaschinen, Oak Eurasia (Burr OAK), Leoni, Neumatic.
"We feel that the growing unemployment rate in the Stříbro region has become an ever more important issue. Panattoni together with CzechInvest is trying to improve the situation by offering advantageous business conditions, regarding the facility's equipment and flexible lease terms" - said Pavel Sovička, Managing Director Czech Republic & Slovakia. "On the other hand the high unemployment rate can attract new investors to the region."
