Panattoni Europe, industrial space market leader, is building a production facility for Reuss Seifert, German-based supplier of components for the construction industry. The facility featuring in excess of 30,000 sqm is going up in Nowa Sól, at the Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone. The contract was mediated by the international advisory firm CBRE.
Panattoni Europe will deliver a production facility for Reuss Seifert, one of the main suppliers of components for the construction industry in the German market. The investment emerged as a result of the relocation and expansion of operations of four factories and one warehouse in Germany, as well as the consolidation of production and warehousing in Poland. In the 30,000-square-metre building, manufacturing space with the warehousing section will account for more than 28,700 sqm and will be divided into zones corresponding to product lines made of metal, plastic and concrete, such as reinforcement elements, plastic and metal spacers, formwork accessories and lintels. The facility is being built on a site with an area in excess of 9.8 ha in Nowa Sól, at the Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone, and the construction will proceed in two stages – the first one to be completed in the coming July, and the second in the autumn 2017, when the facility will be commissioned by the developer. Such a solution will enable the tenant to start implementing production already this year, and to complete the process in March 2018. The contract was finalised through the mediation of the international advisory firm CBRE.
Marek Foryński, Managing Director BTS Group at Panattoni Europe, emphasises: “The new investment for Reuss Seifert is an example of a well-thought-out relocation and consolidation of production from several plants to one major modern production facility in Nowa Sól. The project is a manifestation of an in-depth analysis of the needs of the enterprise, which has led to the transfer of competencies and key tasks with an impact of operational performance. The launch of the new location will result in added value and new services to the existing enterprise. That is why I am very happy that Panattoni Europe has had an opportunity to be involved in the process and to demonstrate not only its project competence, but also ─ or perhaps most importantly ─ its comprehensive expertise. Such expertise means that we know what the project entails in terms of the consolidation of tasks and operations at a location whose attributes will have a profound impact on financial performance in short-, medium- and long-term operations. Investments like these show Poland for what it is – a place with know-how, and not just attractive human resources”.
Patrick Kurowski, Director - Advisory & Transaction Services Industrial & Logistics Poland at CBRE, commented: “This particular transaction, among others observed on the market, is a further proof for the continuing attractiveness of Poland with manufacturing companies locating into the country or expanding existing business operations respectively. Qualified labour force, well improving road infrastructure and economic stability paired with flexible real estate solutions are credible propositions for companies expanding business in Poland. The Industrial Services Team of CBRE Poland is proud in having represented and advised Reuss Seifert with full complexity on the location analysis and securing the ideal real estate solution for the subject operation".
The investment is under development in Nowa Sól, at the Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone, near the S3 expressway, and is another property in the developer’s portfolio in Lubuskie ─ previous projects have been predominantly production facilities, for the most part dedicated to the automotive industry and clustered along the S3 expressway. They include notably: the 17,600-square-metre factory in Gorzów Wielkopolski for Faurecia ─ manufacturer of car interior components; 10,700 sqm in a manufacturing facility making economy-class aircraft seats for Recaro Aircraft Seating in Świebodzin; 10,800 sqm in a modern repair centre for electronic products and refilling printer cartridges for Syncreon in Żary; the recently completed investment at the Międzyrzecz Industrial Park for STS Acoustics – global leader in acoustics and thermal management systems dedicated to the automotive industry, featuring 9,000 sqm, and the 19,645-square-metre production facility currently under development in Zielona Góra for Ideal Automotive ─ manufacturer of car interior parts and components, such as: textile linings, mats, coatings, as well as moulded parts and sound damping segments for dozens of car brands, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volvo, Volkswagen, McLaren, Lamborghini, Bugatti and Porsche. Moreover, a modern distribution centre Panattoni Park Zielona Góra will also be built in the region.
