Panattoni Europe, Poland’s leader in industrial real estate, has won two awards at the CEE Investment & Green Building Awards, organised by EuropaProperty.com. The developer succeeded in two categories: Warehouse Developer and Warehouse Project for the BTS Janki. The awards were presented during a gala ceremony on 27 October 2016 at the InterContinental Hotel, Warsaw.
Panattoni Europe was named Warehouse Developer of the year, as well as receiving recognition for a project developed for one of the top global logistics company at the CEE Investment & Green Building Awards. The event is dedicated to sustainable investment and development in Central and Eastern Europe and is organised by the EuropaProperty.com magazine. The winners of this year’s edition were announced at the evening gala which took place on 27 October at the InterContinental Hotel, Warsaw. The awards were given out in front of some of CEE’s eminent investors as well as real estate professionals.
The jury of the CEE Investment & Green Building Awards named Panattoni Europe Warehouse Developer of the Year in recognition of the firm’s achievements over the past twelve months. As of the end of 2015, the firm had completed new industrial facilities in Poland and the Czech Republic totalling 692,000 sqm of space. At the same time, 637,000 sqm were under development, including 571,000 sqm in Poland. In the first half of 2016, the developer delivered 448,500 sqm to the market, and as of the end of July more than 400,000 sqm were under development. Over the past twelve months, Panattoni Europe signed leases for more than 1 million square metres. The developer’s recent large-scale projects include the 45,000-square-metre brilliant factory for GE Energy Management in Bielsko-Biała, the manufacturing plant for Bombardier Transportation in Wrocław totalling approx. 20,000 sqm, and the facility for Johnson Electric in Będzin featuring 11,900 sqm.
The Warehouse Project award went to Panattoni Europe’s development for the BTS Janki. The investment totalling 15,900 sqm was built in Janki near Warsaw. The new distribution centre is fully tailored to the needs of the logistics sector. It was built in compliance with the principles of sustainable development and will be certified under the TAPA and BREEAM systems. The property features LED lighting in both the office and the warehousing section. Moreover, the building allows for heat recovery, increased building tightness and reduced water consumption. A fully-automated sorter will be put into the facility, as one of four such installations in Europe.
This is not the first time Panattoni Europe receives recognition from the jury of the CEE Investment & Green Building Awards. In 2013, the firm was named developer of the year and got the project award for the development of two facilities for Amazon in Poznań and Wrocław. The year 2014 brought more awards. Like the year before, Panattoni Europe won the developer of the year title, an award for the Amazon investment in the Czech Republic and, what is more, Robert Dobrzycki was named Professional of the Year.
