Hager Group is building a new plant in Bieruń

Hager Group, leading manufacturer of electrical products for industry and real estate, on August started to build a new production plant in Bieruń in Silesia (Poland). The facility of more than 20,000 sqm will be developed by Panattoni. The value of the investment is amounted to approx. EUR 50 million and supports the further growth of Hager Group. The new factory will produce particularly circuit breakers, an electrical safety device. Almost 1000 employees will be employed in the new plant.

Due to the development of Hager Group, the company decided to build a modern factory in Bieruń, which will allow company to increase its; production capacity and develop product portfolio. The new plant will be delivered by Panattoni, a leader in the industrial real estate market in Europe. The total area of the new production plant will exceed more than 21 000 square meters – of which 16 000 will be used for storage and production purposes.

– After comprehensive preparations, we have started the process of building Hager Group’s new production plant in Poland last month. The construction of the new plant in Bieruń is an important point in the development of the Hager Group's operations in Poland. Thanks to this investment, we will extended our offer and increase market competitiveness. The new factory will also strengthen our relationship with the region in which we operate – said Daniel Hager, CEO of the Group.

The facility is being built in the BTO (Built To Own) formula and will be commissioned in around the middle of 2023. The building of the plant in Bieruń will be one of the most modern buildings in the Hager Group – it will meet the guidelines imposed by BREEAM certification at the Excellent level. Green energy will be used in the production process in the new factory - and photovoltaic panels will be installed in the building.

This is not Panattoni's first project for the Hager Group - the companies have been cooperating with each other for 7 years. In 2015, the developer built the Hager production plant in Sosnowiec, where 4 years later the company expanded by over 100 percent.

The new production plant will be placed just 10 kilometers from the Hager Group factory in Tychy.
