Panattoni, market leader in industrial real estate in Europe, has leased approx. 7,300 sqm to DSV Road at City Logistics Łódź II. The high-tech facility will be handed over to the tenant in the coming June. To date, the developer has completed 10+ projects for the DSV Group, developing approx. 170,000 sqm of space in total in Poland and the Czech Republic.
Fast, safe, reliable. At City Logistics Łódź II, Panattoni will deliver 7,277 sqm for DSV Road – leading logistics operator in Poland and Europe. State-of-the-art warehouse space will take up close to 6,200 sqm – with half of that space arranged by Panattoni as a cross-docking facility for fast-moving ADR shipments, and the remaining part to be used for standard logistics operations. The office section will take up 1077.6 sqm. In spite of the complex technical specification, the space for DSV will be completed already in the coming June. Like all the newly built Panattoni parks, it will be developed in compliance with the principles of sustainable development and BREEAM certification criteria.
DSV Road is part of DSV Group, which has been a customer of the developer for 13 years. Katarzyna Kujawiak, Development Director from Panattoni comments on the most recent lease: “The reason we are able to deliver specialised space in a short time is because of our excellent knowledge of our customer’s business and the ins and outs of their business environment. So far, we have completed more than 10 projects for DSV, totalling approx. 150,000 sqm in Poland and 23,000 sqm at Panattoni Park Praque-Airport II in the Czech Republic. Each square metre completed for DSV has been a truly valuable experience for us, for which I am thankful”.
By choosing City Logistics Łódź II, DSV Road has gained a facility in an excellent location. The complex, planned to total 38,125 sqm at full build-out, is just 5 km from the A1 motorway – connecting Poland’s northern and southern border – and 27 km from the A2 motorway, connecting the most important logistics locations in Central Europe – Berlin, Poznań and Warsaw. City Logistics Łódź II is also an ideal place for smaller businesses operating locally. The complex offers small units for lease, from as little as 1,800 sqm, just 8 km from the city centre, making for an easy commute by municipal transport, as well as giving companies ready access to labour and client base.
Closer to customers. Development of city logistics. Panattoni continues to develop its portfolio of City Logistics Park projects. The upcoming facility which will be occupied by DSV Road is the second city logistics project in Łódź. The developer has also delivered three such complexes in Warsaw and one in Wrocław. City Logistics Katowice and City Logistics Warsaw III are still in the pipeline. The total space offered in this format in Poland, in both completed and pending facilities, will be in the rage of 217 000 sqm. Panattoni is also active abroad. Last August the cornerstone was laid under another investment dedicated to city and SBU logistics in Berlin. The EUR 25 million project in the Spandau area of Berlin will comprise three buildings totalling 15,000 sqm divided into small units.
