Panattoni Iberia announced an agreement with the Parc de l'Alba Consortium, made up of the Catalan Land Institute -INCASÒL- and the Cerdanyola del Vallès City Council, to purchase the 60,000 sqm plot of land.
The construction of a technology campus of up to 68,000 m2 is planned on this plot, which is expected to be the largest Data Center to be developed in Catalonia over the next few years, and which will have an initial power of 42 MW installed. The estimated investment for the development of the project is 300 million euros. The first phase, which will begin construction at the end of 2023, will have a surface area of approximately 42,000sqm.
The engineering and design of this data center will be carried out by Quark, the leading company in Architecture, Engineering and Project Management for Data Centers. The future operator and tenant will be defined after an orderly process to be launched in mid-April, and will be led by Colliers in collaboration with Telam Partners.
This location, just 20km from Barcelona, offers an unbeatable connectivity and ensures the availability of immediate power and state-of-the-art facilities, guaranteeing the success of the project and a safe bet for the business development of its future tenant.
