In March 2023, Panattoni established itself on the Danish market with Jacob Widahl as managing director. Panattoni, which is the market leader in Europe, had already achieved great success in the Swedish market when they decided to expand in Scandinavia in line with the company's strategy of following their customers into new markets. After more than half a year in Denmark, the team is now being expanded with Farid Shirmohammadi as Technical Development Director.
- As we now approach the start of various construction projects, it is of great importance to us and our partners that we have a Technical Development Director with knowledge of the Danish market. With Farid in our team, we increase our experience and knowledge of the construction and development process, which means that we can offer our partners the best solutions, says Jacob Widahl, managing director of Panattoni Denmark.
In Denmark, there is currently a great demand for modern logistics and industrial buildings, and last year the industry had a turnover of DKK 15 billion, which is a significant increase from the previous year. At the same time, the number of vacant properties is at a record low, and Panattoni is looking for areas around the major cities and along the motorway network with a focus on the E45 and E20 to bring new and modern facilities to the market.
Farid began his position as Technical Development Director at Panattoni the first of September. He previously came from Lidl and Aldi, where he worked as a project manager and project leader and has gained many years of experience in both property development and the construction of food stores, warehouses and offices.
- It will be exciting to start at Panattoni, now that the need for logistics and industrial buildings is so great. I am sure that, with my background and experience, I will be able to contribute valuable knowledge in leading technical teams through complex development projects for foundations and institutional investors, as well as adapting buildings to the needs of tenants, says Farid Shirmohammadi.
