Panattoni Europe with the prizes of the Industrial Developer of the Year and the Overall Company of the Year at CEEQA 2019
Nearly 1.4 million sqm of delivered space, construction of 580,000 sqm in build-to-suit facilities, 1.65 million sqm leased and number one in the ranking of industrial developers in Poland and the Czech Republic. These are just some of the accomplishments which enabled Panattoni Europe to confirm its position and surpass 11 industry competitors. The company for the fourth time in a row became the Industrial Developer of the Year CEE Quality Awards (CEEQA)! The firm also received the Overall Company of the Year award, being selected from the 9 categories winners.
Panattoni. Simply the best! The title of Industrial Developer of the Year for 2019 was given to Panattoni Europe at the awards ceremony of the prestigious CEE Quality Awards (CEEQA). The developer competed with 11 other industrial property companies. Nomination and award processes were overseen by the international advisory firm Deloitte. Panattoni Europe also beat the competition in the Overall Company of the Year category. It overtook the winners of the remaining 8 categories. The results in this category were decided by the audience during the electronic voting.
Growth guarantees success. The award was given to Panattoni Europe in recognition of last year’s business accomplishments, financial performance and contribution to the growth of the segment of the real estate sector. In 2018 alone, the developer delivered 1.37 million sqm of warehouse space, leading the Polish market. This includes 790,000 sqm of speculative space and 580,000 sqm in build-to-suit facilities. Panattoni Europe’s completed projects included 135,000 sqm for Amazon in Sosnowiec, 60,000 sqm for Leroy Merlin in Central Poland, and 29,000 sqm for DHL at Panattoni Park Cheb in the Czech Republic. Moreover, the developer signed leases for 1.65 million sqm of space, including Poland’s largest warehouse at ground level for Leroy Merlin totalling 124,000 sqm and a factory dedicated to Industry 4.0 processes for Bosch, which took up 58,000 sqm at the Central European Logistics Hub in Łódź. Panattoni Europe was also active in investment markets, e.g. participating in one of the biggest transactions in the industrial property market, in which European Logistic Investment BV, co-managed by Griffin Real Estate finalised the acquisition of a portfolio of 9 logistics parks delivered by the developer. The value of the deal, accounting for a total of 300,000 sqm, was around 200 million euro. Outside of Poland, the company is also very active in the Czech Republic, where it leads the industrial property market, Germany and the United Kingdom, where it is the only one to deliver speculative facilities. At present, the developer has a total of 3.5 million sqm under management. Panattoni Europe’s strong standing is confirmed by awards for taking first place in the Top Property Developers ranking by PropertyEU for 2014-2016 – when the company built 2.71 million sqm of space – and for 2015-2017 – with 3.8 million sqm delivered (41 per cent growth compared to the previous ranking).
Overall Company of the Year is the first such award for Panattoni Europe, which has so far won the competition in the industrial real estate sector. In its category Industrial Developer of the Year during CEEQA 2019, the company won the fourth in a row and the seventh prize in general. This year’s success for the developer was decided by a jury made up of two groups: representatives of six major international real estate brokers active in the sector and a group of industrial operators representing leading players in the real estate sector. The company had also won corresponding awards for its business accomplishments in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Moreover, Carl Panattoni, the company’s founder and owner, was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement in Real Estate award, while Robert Dobrzycki was named Personality of the Year 2011. Dobrzycki offered the following comment on this year’s distinction: “From the very beginning Panattoni Europe has been hungry for growth.
