- Project to create 22,983 m² of rental space is underway
- Wunstorf near Hannover selected as location
- Completion set for March 2020
Panattoni Europe, the leading project developer for industrial and logistics properties in Europe, is working to construct a user-specific hall offering 21,338 m² of logistics space, as well as 1,009 m² of office and social spaces and 636 m² of mezzanine space in accordance with the future tenant’s specific requirements. The project is set for completion by March 2020. Work on the new build will get underway in June 2019 on a 50,000 m² site in Wunstorf near Hannover.
Panattoni is developing a build-to-suit solution for an international tier 1 supplier. The premises will meet the customer’s individual requirements and comply with sustainable building guidelines in order to meet the DGNB Gold Standard (as set down by the German Sustainable Building Council). Goods will be shipped from Wunstorf to automotive manufacturers and wholesalers around the world.
Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner of Panattoni Europe, explained: “We’re well-versed in the development of user-specific logistics premises and, with our experienced team, are in an excellent position to do so. In Wunstorf, we also found the perfect site for our customer.”
The new company premises will be on Adolf-Oesterheld-Strasse in Wunstorf, in an established industrial estate which offers good infrastructure. The new 50,000 m² site will be an extension to the existing industrial estate. CBRE Hamburg served as a consultant throughout the settlement process.
The company’s move has been supported by Uwe Schwamm, Economic Development Officer for Wunstorf, and the municipality of Wunstorf. The town’s mayor, Rolf-Axel Eberhardt, expressed his delight at the new premises: “The arrival of this international company will expand our industrial estate with a new site and a business that will provide around 70 local jobs. Wunstorf already offers well-developed infrastructure for both companies and employees and supports the arrival of such companies, which contribute to our town’s development.”
