Panattoni cyclists in the 1000-kilometre “Paris – MIPIM Vélothon” tour

Our real estate family takes on the most important cycling event of the year for the third time! It is the 1000-kilometre “Paris – MIPIM Vélothon” tour. As many as 48 real estate professionals will ride the distance over the course of five days to support charitable organisations of their choice. The tour is on from 8 to 13 March 2019, and when the riders get to Cannes, they will attend MIPIM – the leading real estate event. Our team could not pass up this opportunity. We are grateful to Artur Mokrzycki and Kamil Kuleta, who are riding to support Institut Curie, which has worked for nearly 100 years to further cancer research and treatment. Artur Mokrzycki – has been with us for more than 8 years. As Head of Capital Markets Europe, he is responsible for managing investor relations, notably raising and structuring capital for investment projects across the entire Panattoni Group in Europe. He has been involved in the real estate business for nearly 30 years, contributing to its continuing growth. His abundant energy, which spills over onto his colleagues and business partners, has now found a new outlet in the highly commendable goal that is Paris – MIPIM Vélothon. Kamil Kuleta – has been with us for nearly 5 years. As Director Capital Markets Europe, he is responsible for managing investor relations in Europe. Prior to joining Panattoni Europe, he was involved in finance. A man of great brilliance and intelligence, but most of all with a big heart. Participation in the Paris – MIPIM Vélothon mixes business and pleasure for him: he can combine his love of endurance cycling with support for a very important goal, collecting funds for Institut Curie. The goal chosen by our colleagues is extremely important in the context of the numbers of cancer sufferers. In 2018, nearly 0.2% of the global population struggled with cancer, that is close to 152 million people. The high cancer prevalence requires enormous funding for prevention and treatment, and that is why supporting Institut Curie, which works towards cancer research and treatment, is so important.

Institut Curie, supported by Artur and Kamil, has been in operation for nearly 100 years. It was established by the Polish two-time Nobel prize winner – Maria Skłodowska-Curie. Its most important objective is to fight against cancer in many different ways. The institute provides cancer diagnostics, follow-up and patient care, as well as furthering cancer research. The organisation is also committed to education and raising cancer awareness. Knowledge of cancer and treatment methods is promoted through teaching and museology activities.
