Panattoni recruits Investment Controller from Newsec

In December, Panattoni, the world's largest developer of logistics properties, summed up a successful first year on the Swedish market. Now they are starting up five new projects and more are in the pipeline. To strengthen the organization, Panattoni is now recruiting Anna D Johansson from Newsec as Investment Controller.

Panattoni's ambition is to become one of the leading players on the Swedish market, in the number of developed square meters, and already in the first year, great steps have been taken. The head office was established in Gothenburg and an experienced organization was appointed that will be responsible for the implementation of the ambitious plans, which initially entailed a record-breaking land acquisition of SEK 3.1 billion.

"We operate by a speculative business model that allows us to work at a fast pace and quickly bring modern buildings to the market. In our first year, we have already received five granted building permits and construction starts for 180,000 sqm of warehouse space. With Anna in the team, we also gain solid experience for the property management phase that will come soon", says Fredrik Jagersjö Rosell, CEO of Panattoni Sweden.

Anna D Johansson is previously from Newsec and has a broad expertise in transactions as well as real estate and project accounting. At Panattoni, Anna will be responsible for investment management and work in close collaboration with the Technical Development Director for safe and smooth management of the financial process throughout the projects.

"It will be very exciting to start my position at Panattoni, a company that so far is quite unknown in Sweden but which is a world leader internationally. It is constant development and new steps that are being taken towards becoming the market leader", says Anna D Johannson.

Panattoni has many exciting projects in the pipeline for 2023. The ambition is to build 10 houses of about 250,000 square meters per year, something that will also create many jobs within the triangle Gothenburg – Stockholm – Malmö.
