Panattoni has completed the construction of a BTS facility for Animex Foods, the largest food producer and exporter of meat in Poland. The modern building, with an area of 10,153 sqm, has been developed near Ostróda in the Warmian-Masurian province and meets extremely high standards in terms of food storage.

This latest investment is designed to drive the further development of Animex Foods and improve its competitiveness. The company is a market leader in pork, poultry and processed meat products in Poland, including such brands as Krakus, Morliny and Berlinki. Since 1999, Animex Foods has been part of international food industry giant Smithfield Foods, and since 2013 of the WH Group – the world’s biggest pork producer.

Animex Foods’ new warehouse and distribution centre has been built on a 2.7 ha plot in Tyrowo near Ostróda. The 10,000 sqm facility includes, among other features, three cold stores (where the temperature can be maintained between 0 and +6 ⁰C), a freezer with temperatures as low as -22 ⁰C, and a dry warehouse.
