Industrial developer and European market leader Panattoni will soon hand over the premises in the brand new and modern Panattoni Park Bratislava North complex near Plavecký Štvrtok to the first tenants. In the initial phase, two halls with an area of 12,000 and 6,000 sqm will be available. On this occasion, representatives of Panattoni, in the presence of the mayor of Plavecký Štvrtek and the first tenant IKEA Components, signed the founding deed, which they deposited in a time capsule with a legacy for future generations.
The new logistics hub Panattoni Park Bratislava North is located on 330,000 square metres of land near the municipality of Plavecký Štvrtok, not far from Malacky, with a convenient connection to the D2 motorway. This strategic location will provide efficient service for up to four countries. In addition to Slovakia it will provide service to the Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary.
„This new facility will ensure an increase in supply capacity and will help commercial and industrial companies in the wider Bratislava area to operate more efficiently. In addition, it will also support the arrival of companies to this region, which has been stagnating due to a lack of logistics capacity," says Erik Ivaničko, Director Panattoni Slovakia.
„The Panattoni Park Bratislava North project will surely be one of the most important investment projects in this region and especially in the cadastral area of Plavecký Štvrtok.
If it becomes sustainable in the long term and at the same time creates new jobs, it will be beneficial not only for the company, but also for the social stability of many families. This makes it automatically a very welcome project for us," said Radoslav Benkovič, Mayor of Plavecký Štvrtok.
The total investment in this logistics complex was EUR 59 million. The first tenants will have at their disposal two modern buildings with a total area of 18,000 square meters. Both have been designed and constructed with the aim of aspiring to achieve the international BREEAM New Construction environmental certification at the Excellent level. This certification guarantees environmental friendliness, a maximum level of energy self-sufficiency, superior working conditions for employees and an overall level of sustainability for the entire facility.
The first tenant at Panattoni Park Bratislava North is IKEA Components, a company that focuses on the purchase, storage, packaging and distribution of furniture components and equipment for IKEA department stores. The first tenant occupies a larger 12,000 sqm hall as part of the first phase of construction. The hall will be completed by the end of the summer and the company is already planning to start operations in early September.
Representatives of Panattoni, BHS Real Estate SICAV and the mayor of Plavecký Štvrtok buried a time capsule in the site, which contained several messages for future generations. For example, the BREEAM pre-assessment document of the first building, which may seem outdated in a few years. Then also a commemorative coin from BHS, an Allen key from IKEA as the park's first tenant and an edition of the regional newspaper.
