Panattoni Park in Karlsruhe South fully leased

  • 21,000 sqm of logistics space given over to DHU and Seifert Logistics Group
  • Once speculative logistics property already fully leased upon completion

Panattoni Europe, the leading project developer for industrial and logistics premises in Europe, has already leased all the space in a logistics centre that might never have been. The Panattoni Park, with a total logistics space of 21,000 sqm, was built on a roughly 38,000 sqm plot in Durmersheim, south of Karlsruhe.

One of the leaseholders is the Dr. Willmar Schwabe group and its subsidiary the Deutsche Homöopathie Union (DHU). The medium-sized company with a strong international presence moved in in mid-June 2019, having snapped up around 10,000 sq m of logistics space. Around 8,700 sqm of that space is being used as user-specific storage space and roughly 721 sqm is being used as office and office-related space. Mezzanine space makes up roughly 995 sqm. Colliers International brokered the deal.

In September, Panattoni Europe will be giving the rest over to Seifert Logistics Group, headquartered in Ulm. The specialised logistics provider will have access to over 10,000 sqm of space.

Thanks to its location on the B36 federal road and A5 and A8 federal motorways, the logistics centre is extremely well connected. “The position of the Panattoni Park Karlsruhe South is perfect for us as logistics providers and our specific requirements. Thanks to the location of the building, we can grow with our existing customers and also offer new clients suitable spaces,” says Axel Frey, Member of the Executive Board of Seifert Logistics Group. “We are delighted to have found such a strong partner in Panattoni Europe on the road to making our needs and wishes a reality.”

The logistics property will significantly bolster the attractiveness of Durmersheim as a town and will create new jobs in the long run thanks to Seifert Logistics Group’s focus on training junior staff. “We chose Durmersheim because of our solid professional relationship with the local heavyweights and because of its great location. We are delighted that two reputable clients like DHU and Seifert Logistics Group have also decided to set up shop here. We will stick to our short-term strategy of providing logistics spaces for our clients at potential locations,” explains Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner of Panattoni Europe.
