Simoldes Plasticos is a Portuguese company dedicated to the production of plastic automotive parts, which it supplies to companies like Volkswagen, Skoda Auto, Audi, Toyota, Renault, Ford and others. The factory covering an area of 22 thousand sqm and is located in Rychnov nad Kneznou. The project developer is the company Panattoni Europe. Panattoni is one of the largest developers of commercial real estate with more than 14 million square meters of built worldwide.
A smart location in North Central Bohemia makes this region an extraordinary place for realization of manufacturing projects and the follow-up logistics. Rychnov nad Kneznou lies directly on Road 14 connecting the Škoda Auto factory in Kvasiny with the European highway network. Furthermore there are highways D11 and R35 to be built in upcoming years, which will speed up already excellent transport connection. There is also European railway corridor joining Katowice (PL) , Prague and Nurnberg (GER) 30 kilometers away and local railway connecting the border areas of Poland (Walbrzich) with Czech region of Nachod, Hradec Kralove and Chocen. The Škoda Auto factory also disposes of a railway siding which runs just behind the Simoldes Plasticos.
There is a great concentration of automotive and engineering industry producers and suppliers in the surrounding border region of Central and Eastern Czech Republic and Poland with significant manufacturers such as Škoda Auto, Foxconn, Assa Abloy or Iveco.
