Panattoni is building a logistics centre for the Hradec Králové and Pardubice regions at the end of the D11 motorway

Building on the current successful expansion of the motorway network in the Czech Republic, the industrial zone developer Panattoni is preparing a key infrastructure for retail. At the end of the D11 motorway near Smiřice, Panattoni Park Hradec Králové North will be built as a counterpart to its predecessor named Panattoni Park Hradec Králové South. The developer has already attracted one of the largest retail players to the South part, having also submitted an application for an environmental impact assessment (EIA) for the upcoming North part. While the building in the South part with an area of 50,000 sq m will offer up to 900 jobs, the building in the North part with an area of 25,000 sq m will employ up to 160 people.

“Just as each kilometre of the new motorway is important for the Czech economy, it is no less important to connect adequate infrastructure for industry and logistics to these premises. These are fundamental steps towards returning the Czech Republic to the international competition for foreign investors. To the competition we have unfortunately left for some time due to the covid paralysis of the Czech authorities. We are expanding the location near Smiřice with the vision to build a logistics centre with a critical capacity on the expanding D11 motorway to supply the entire Hradec Králové and Pardubice regions,” says Pavel Sovička, Panattoni’s Managing Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Panattoni Park Hradec Králové North benefits from the potential for excellent connections to the transport infrastructure. In 2022, it will be accessible directly from the D11 motorway via the newly built exit 104 Smiřice.
