Logistics centre for East Bohemia to be built at the end of D11 motorway

The industrial zone developer Panattoni has attracted one of the biggest retail players to the new Panattoni Park Hradec Králové South. The planned modern green building with an area of 25,000 sq m will house a logistics centre to supply goods to the Pardubice Region and the Hradec Králové Region, offering up to 130 new jobs.

The new industrial zone at the end of the D11 motorway will excel in minimizing the impact on the environment. Panattoni has recently become the greenest industrial developer in Europe, and the Czech branch was carbon neutral last year thanks to the compensation programme.

“We are designing a building for the distribution of fast-moving goods in accordance with our long-term strategy of sustainable development, and I am pleased that the suitable position in this location will significantly reduce the negative impact of freight transport on the environment. It will be possible to serve the Hradec Králové Region and the Pardubice Region directly from this strategically located building,” says Pavel Sovička, Panattoni’s Managing Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

With this project, Panattoni builds on the current successful expansion of the motorway network in the Czech Republic to prepare the key infrastructure for retail. Panattoni Park Hradec Králové South and North benefit from the potential of the excellent connections to the transport infrastructure. In 2022, they will be accessible directly from the D11 motorway via the newly built exit 104 Smiřice.
